Retired racehorse are not impulsive
Keep in mind that with proper training, retired racehorse do not bolt. Also, all horses, regardless of breed are large animals with a flight instinct. Do not expect them to be perfect. Lots of retired racehorses will require training and re-schooling.
Giving retired racehorses a second career is indeed challenging. It will require consistency, love, patience and time. Thankfully, the Retired Racehorse Project is a fantastic program offering a highly valuable service to retired racehorses and to aspiring owners.
